And.

Tech, tacos, and everything in between.

#Introduction

I’ve spent most of my life obsessed with how things work — and how to make them work better for the people using them. That’s the thread. It’s also why I’m starting this blog.

I am an Austinite at heart… The city defines itself through the power of “and.” Tech and tacos. Hill country and high-growth. Deep tradition and weird innovation. I’ve never been good at picking lanes, and Austin doesn’t ask me to. I’m an operator. And a founder. And a builder. Most days, all three before lunch.

Right now, my work lives in three places. Outsauce is a people-first outsourcing firm bridging the U.S. and South Africa — we’re building teams of empathetic talent, not just offshoring tasks. Console is an AI-first CRM where the API is the front door, born from my own frustration with clunky software and built inside the BAD Labs LLC family. AI Applied is where I help organizations move past the hype and put LLMs to work on the boring fodder, so the meaningful work can get more attention. All three are different shapes of the same belief: tech should serve the humans who use it, not the other way around.

Off the clock, the zoo at home keeps things honest — two cats, two dogs, two fish, my husband, and me. We take a lot of energy just to keep clean, but we like visits to the local water spots and visits to any place that offers a pup-cup. I’ve started writing sci-fi on the side, partly because Star Trek and Stargate raised me, and partly because building a fictional universe turns out to use the exact same muscles as building a company: internal logic, clear stakes, and characters who actually want something.

So that’s what you’ll find here. Operator notes. Builder questions. Founder frustrations. The occasional sci-fi tangent. Honest takes from someone who refuses to pick just one lane.

My inbox is open to all of you — Operators, Builders, and Founders — reach out and tell me what you’re working on. I’d love to help.

Pet lovers, Austinites, lovers of good Mexican food - reach out and tell me what I should be writing about next, where you love to stop and where I need to take my zoo next!
